DeSantis: Florida ‘cannot accommodate’ influx of migrants expected for processing

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis was caught off guard Thursday when he was notified by U.S. Border Patrol that a whole lot of migrants from the Mexican border could be moved into two South Florida counties.

DeSantis, who’s near President Trump, particularly for the reason that president’s endorsement helped propel him to the highest within the 2018 gubernatorial race, stated he would complain to him in regards to the company’s determination.

“I believe it should tax our assets, the colleges, the well being care, regulation enforcement, state companies,” DeSantis stated.

The Palm Seashore County Affiliation of Chiefs of Police wrote a letter Thursday complaining to the governor that an influx in migrants would have a “direct impact on the potential homeless numbers and current challenges to our college district.”

The surge in migrants throughout the border has taxed the Texas border amenities, pushing them to maneuver migrants elsewhere for processing. Processed migrants are given a court docket date and are allowed to stick with relations within the state they’re expected to seem.
