There are strong indications that the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, and National Chairman of the African Action Congress party (AAC), Mr Omoyele Sowore is in custody of the Nigeria Police, and may soon be transferred to an unknown destination.
Sowore, was abducted in a gestapo manner early hours of Saturday, August 03 by some heavily armed policemen in masks. A legal team from the Lagos State chapter of the AAC upon a hint, approached the DSS office on CMD road in Ketu, Lagos few hours after Sowore’s abduction to demand his release but were arrogantly denied entrance into the premises. According to the police, the name Omoyele Sowore sounds strange.
It was.reliably gathered however, that there are plans to move him to a location in Abuja, ahead of the #RevolutionNow “Days of Rage” protest slated to commence on Monday, August 05.
It will be recalled that Omoyele Sowore has been involved in a coalition for revolution with several other Human Right activists, where some demands have been made of the Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
The DSS is yet to make public, the reason for the physical attack on Sowore in what could be described as a Nazi-like assault.
