Man City and Arsenal in serious battle over the signing of Nigerian Under 17 star

Manchester City and Arsenal who are big Premier League giants are reportedly eyeing a move for Nigeria youth international Olatomi Alfred Olaniyan.

These two teams are among the best sides in Europe who are known for giving youths the chance to exhibit their talents on the pitch.

Olatomi Alfred Olaniyan was said to have been monitored by Manchester City when he played for Nigeria at the Under 17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.

Bur despite not featuring for Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Brazil, Manchester City are still believed to be interested in the attacking midfielder.

Arsenal on the other hand were also expecting the youngster to play in Brazil, but that has not make them end their chase of signing the player.

Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are some of the youngsters who have been given the chance this season at Arsenal by Unai Emery.

And should the player decides to go to the Etihad stadium, then he will have to undergo some training or even go on loan.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are currently occupying second position on the Premier League standings, while Arsenal occupy fifth position on the table.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Arsenal manager Unai Emery explained that Granit Xhaka is not ready to apologize to the Gunners’ fans because he is currently ‘devastated inside’.

On Sunday, October 27, Granit Xhaka appeared to have verbally attacked Arsenal fans while being substituted in the Premier League tie against Crystal Palace.
